Church Web Hosting with Titan Web Solutions
How do I get my church or ministry on the Internet?
Getting a web site for your church or other ministry involves three steps, maintaining it makes a fourth step. (On the rest of these pages we will refer to our packages as Church Packages, but they are applicable to other ministries such as parochial schools, parachurch organizations, denominational organizations, evangelists, band and soloist ministies, etc.)
1. Registering a Domain Name. A domain name is what you will call your church web site and what people will type into their browsers to find you. There is an annual fee to register a domain name on the internet. If you already have a web site you want to move to our hosting, you already have taken care of this. Registrations last one or more years, and then you pay a fee to renew. A registered domain name is required for anyone on the internet to find your website. If you are creating a brand new web site, we can arrange this for you. Check out our Domain Name Solutions.
2. Designing (creating) your web site. This involves deciding who you want to reach with your site (members or prospects or both), how much information, pictures, etc. you want to place on your site, what you want the site to look like, and the artistic work of creating your site. The one-time fee for Web Design is separate from recurring monthly or annual Web Hosting fees. Although we display some ready-made packages here on our web site, we can work with you to custom design your web site to either change features or adjust costs. Examine our Web Design Solutions.
3. Hosting your web site. You've created a fantastic site, but few people are going to see it if it stays on your computer. That's where web hosting comes in. Consider this like paying for the rental of space on the internet so that the files you designed and created can be viewed by your church members and prospects. Usually payments can be setup to recur monthly or annually. Compare our Church Hosting Solutions.
4. Maintaining your web site. Is your web site a living, breathing entity, exciting and encouraging the visitor to look around? Or is it a static, dead, outdated relic that says nothing new here? A very small site with just basic information about the church may not need changed very much. Other larger sites with events that come and go and pictures that reflect current and recent events will require various amounts of weekly changes. All sites need a facelift regularly to keep them in the search engines results and to keep visitors returning and staying within your pages. If you have someone on staff capable of editing HTML files, optimizing photos for the web and using an FTP program to transfer files, you can easily make these changes yourself. If that sounds like Greek to you, you may want to consider having us do your weekly or monthly updates and keep your web site alive. Consider our Maintenance Solutions.
